oil line

i hooked up my perma cool remote oil filter today. the sandwich adapter from
jegs (part # 771-2791) worked great with my headers. my question is which is
the in and out flow path on the 289 block? if you know please tell me. i
place the oil filter in the passenger side hole on the radiator support. i
thought this might allow for some cooling of the oil with one of those
billet cooling fins.
