Mike has a good handle on the valuation of Tigers, especially the cost
of repairs.

I have often been asked and wondered, "How many of these cars still exists"?

My own estimate is 1500-2000 in the US.  Unfortunately, the STOA TAC and
Norms Registry only lists a small portion of the Tigers out there.
