The "rube goldberg" system of the original 2 barrel installation is
straight forward, and returns the water through the hot water
passages in the carburetor spacer.  This spacer cannot be used with
a 4 barrel, and the F4B and the hood have a disagreement with a
thick spacer.  The correct solution is to mount the sender in the
manifold hole provided for this purpose in the LAT 1 system.  For
the Tiger manufactured units, this was a 9/16 x 18 straight thread,
not a pipe thread, like the standard F4B unit.  Many have tried
re-threading a pipe thread adapter.  This is not good, as the OD of
the 9/16 is almost the same as the root thread of the pipe thread
adapter.  Re-welding the sender hole closed (not easy with the old
aluminum) and re-threading it correctly is the way to go.  Off the
engine, of course..
