In the latest issue of British Marque Car Club News, plans for the
second annual British Car Week, May 18-24, are mentioned. Suggested
by a Peter Egan article in Road & Track, in which he commented that
you just don't see too many old sports cars on the road any more, some
folks decided to take things into their own hands, and declare a
nationwide event. The basic idea is to get them out and DRIVE them.
Be visible. Stimulate interest in all British cars.
Clubs are planning gatherings, cruises, etc., for that week. One
nearby A-H club is planning to hit a different cruise night on every
day of the week.
This all appears to be just for fun. Nobody's making any money on it.
