VIN tags

I've not found anything in Michigan law prohibiting removing the VIN tag
and reinstalling it on the same car. If this is actually a violation there
are lots of us that ought to be in the slammer, not only Tiger people, but
a whole bunch of us in the auto repair business.
On a few cars the VIN tag is attached to parts that are commonly removed
for normal service procedures.
