first.
To clarify some issues.
VSCDA has NOT changed its rules and regulations. What it has done, is
reaffirm the core values of the club, as to car preparation. In 2006, during
tech inspections we will work with all entrants to identify areas of their
car that does not comply with the rules. You will not be penalized for
failure to comply. In 2007, you will be expected to comply with the rules
and regulations. Failure to do so will result in penalty. Penalties,
depending on severity, could result in a bump within group to another class,
bump to another group, bump to an exhibition class, or in the extreme,
failure to accept your application for entry.
I, am not an officer of the VSCDA, nor am I a board member. I am just the
Group 2 rep. My job is to take concerns of the Group 2 participants to the
board, and visa versa. I welcome all topics of concern in this call, both
specific issues, as well as philosophical. There are lots more questions
than answers at this point. As with any issue, there are gray areas subject
to interpretation. I'm sure there are issue the board (or you) have not
anticipated.
