A few days ago I received a couple license plate renewal
notices for one of my cars and the truck. For a total fee
of $5 I can renew my plates with a credit card by calling
the Transportation Dept's 800 number listed on the notice.
This morning on a local (WISN 1130) drive-time radio show
it was reported that the State of Wisconsin wants to alert
the 10's of thousands of people that received their July
2000 license plate renewal notices.
It seems that due to some minor glitch at the DOT, the
phone # that is given on the renewal notices is actually
a phone sex line...
