No, not suggesting any new nicknames, but in the process of helping Jon "Big
Rig" Bauer upgrade the wheel studs on his Bugeye(the former Mike Flaws car)
we ran into a problem securing 7/16" studs. A call to Winners Circle, who
carried these studs in the past revealed they no longer do, and that a
special order to England would be required to get them. They suggested
using their new "hardened" 3/8" (original size) studs which come in various
lengths.
Thats fine for those who do not currently use the 7/16" studs, but does
anyone know of a domestic source for that size? Winners Circle does carry a
7/16" stud, but the knurl is much larger then the previous ones and they are
not recommending them to be used on standard Bugeye rear hubs as cracking of
the hub is a definite possibility.
Also, does anyone have Joe Curto's address or phone number?(the SU Carb guy)
