The tool that many are mentioning is called a "hand impact" tool around
here. Well worth their humble price! An old mechanic gave me some good
advice many years ago on the subject. He said to give it a good face on
smack with a decent hammer to try to break the rust/corrosion bond and
afterward give it a go with the wrench, trying to tighten it, as any
movement would further break the bond that has formed. Apply your favorite
penetrating oil and work it back and forth a little at a time. I have used
this method several times with success.
