Perhaps because I don't like buying pigs in pokes? Catalogs can be a bit
vague at the best of times. Sometimes you can save yourself three shipping
charges by getting the right part the first time if, as has happened for me
with Moss, you can ask the sales guy to go out and take a look at the item
in question. Sort of like the difference between dealing with a "tech
support" person who is reading off a screen vs one who understands the
technology involved and speaks intelligible English. Of course, Jeff Zorn
at LBCarCo offers the good English in combination with minimal
understanding of the product, but enhances it with a discount off the Moss
pricing. Not to mention the shortbread cookies, etc, that accompany the
shipment.
