If a mechanic told me that, I would know to look for a different mechanic. In all mechanical transmissions that I'm familiar with, there is no connection between anything inside of the transmission and the throwout bearing. > But if a BMC mechanic stated that keeping your hand on the gear shift has a > negative effect I will stop doing it and just let the thing rattle as it > wants to do. |
