Back in the mid-60's my roommate had a '58 Speedster and my brother had a 356
coupe (pre A). A few years ago another friend and I took a similar VW-based
Speedster "replica" for a test ride. It drove like a clapped-out VW Beetle. The
real deals definitely do not.
