Let me list the ways...
Turbines are VERY expensive to make...
Turbines VERY expensive to erect....
Somebody has to be paid for the land they stand on....
Turbines don't last long (wear and tear issues)...
Turbines require frequent maintenance by expensive technicians...
The power grid infrastructure is not in place to support wind farms and is
very expensive to build...
What do you do for power when the wind doesn't blow? Batteries sufficient
to store a day or two's worth of KW hours in the power grid would cost more
than a coal fired plant does. Same problem as electric cars... Battery
technology isn't up to the task yet....
In short, nothing is as simple as it seems - Murphy's law, first Axiom...
Cheers!!
