Michael,
I haven't driven a vehicle (modern or otherwise) that handles as well  
as a Spridget with a well tuned suspension and good tires.
Well tuned = Peter C Shox on all 4 corners and a 5/8 inch anti roll  
bar in the front.  Front and rear lowered by 1" helps too ;)
