"Where was that car located???"
In my heart?
Don't rightly know. If you want it bad enough, does it really make any
difference?

Dammit Jay - why'd you have to show that to me? I had to very quickly hit the
back button before seeing if there was any way in the world I could afford to
buy that car. Must refrain from going back to that page... must refrain...
I have been in love/lust with the Lancia Stratos since they were new. The
things
looked like an alien spaceship when they first came out. The fact that they
dominated World Rally competition for so many years didn't hurt either. Problem
is that as much as I'd love to own one, I'm afraid it would break my heart (and
wallet). They are supposed to be virtually undriveable at speed by all but the
most highly talented of folks. I consider myself a good driver, but not in the
league of the guys that were able to actually get the full performance out of
these things.
I guess since the wheelbase is so short and track so wide, it has a tendancy to
turn in rather well and end up spinning into the surrounding scenery. Still...
The Hawk cars are supposed to be far better than the original Lancias. An Alfa
V6 is more powerful and reliable than the Ferrari unit in the originals
too. Maybe they've tuned out some of the inherent twitchiness...
