I read a couple years ago that in Europe and Asia, the ratio of autos to manual 
is something like 85-90% manuals. In the US it is the opposite, something like 
90% auto's. And the reaming 10% were mostly high end sports and heavy duty 
trucks (18 wheeler cabs not included, but I unnerstan that is headed in the 
auto trans direction as well)
