adjust the brake shoes . if you are getting a soft pedal first push then a
hard pedal second push , it's transferring fluid from master to wheel
cylinders
to expand the cylinders on first push to expand the shoes outward ,
the on
second push actually compressing fluid once shoes make contact with
drums.
test: pull on the emergency brake , then push the brake pedal.
see if that
improves the initial pedal "feel". if it does it al in te shoe
adjustment and
front adjustment will make it even better! check your
adjusters for wear. the
early adjusters once worn back of adjustment very
easily some , will actually
backoff when pumping the pedal sitting still in
the shop before the car even
rolls out of the shop!
chuck
been there , broke
that , fixed it , broke it again , some day i'm going to get
it right....but
not attempting anything serious on friday the 13th!
