I have used eSnipe.com for the past few years and it has worked fantastic
for me.  . and cheap.  I believe the default is 6 seconds which has always
worked fine for me.

You just have to make sure that your sign on for eSnipe and for eBay is a
match.  I cannot say enough good about it.
