No big difference. Same valve, size same chamber volume.
You should ask yourself, "Why did they go to the 295 from the earlier 206?"
OR
"Why are the 206s so rare?"
Might it be they improved things?
Since you have both on hand, why don't you look them over and
tell us what difference you see (besides the number)
I would go with the 295

I'm collecting parts in preparation for rebuilding our original Bugeye 948
engine. I researched "Vizard's" book and I can either put on a 12G295 head
or a rare 12G206 head, and yes I have both. The engine will be balanced,
new 998 pistons using the better head and stock H1 carbs with upgraded
jets. I'm just looking for a stock looking engine with a bit more HP.
The question is... which is the better head, the 12G295 OR the rare 12G206?
And why, or does it make a difference?
