Hi Jay,
Concours does not interest me at all. I went through that with motorcycle
restorations years ago and found that for every warm fuzzy I got about a
zillion upset stomachs. I've actually seen judges take a paint chip and
analyze it to see if it is correct paint! Sorry, but that is anal
retentive. I do not begrudge people who are into that sort of thing, but I
do see the hypocrisy in their obsessing over minutia. They are welcome to do
so as long as they don't expect me to participate... ;-)
Oh... And I'm not dissing the Concours group. Mike Osipik happens to be a
good friend and I do respect what they are trying to do. I just think it is
a fools errand by good people who mean well.
Have you had the awful flooding we are seeing on TV?
