Amen. Until I moved to small town America I never had an insurance agent. Now
that I do, I bring the cars over to him and explain what I'm doing and he
advises me on what to do. With 8 registered and insured vehicles, he's got
enough of my money and he's been great at steering us to Hagerty's when
appropriate. Sometimes, it isn't. For my Alfa, I drove it nearly every day, and
had to insure it as such. Same with my BGT. Essentially, they were treated as
40 year old used cars, and I knew that and accepted the risk going it. The
amount I saved by reducing usage on the more modern car policies would have
paid for bodywork.
