Last winter the work on my sprint car included replacing the complete clutch
(7.5" cover and plate), the flywheel for a steel lightened version, the
carbon
release bearing for a roller release bearing, the clutch fork, pivot
bush and
retaining bolt + nyloc and the spigot bearing. During the year the
clutch fork
retaining bolt came loose on three occasions, which is a pain as
its an engine
out job to correct the problem or not as the case may be. The
last time I
replaced the bolt and nyloc for a new version and added loctite
to the nyloc for
good measure - yet it still came loose!!
The clutch works
fine although there is a slight pulsing feeling on the pedal
when the engine
is on and gearbox in neutral.
Has anyone else had this problem?
