And I have exactly $500 into this car from just a shell to a real nice
looking, great runni9ng Midget.
My total out of pocket spent on this car, including the car was $491. So
I just put $9 worth of gas in it to round out the total.
My goal was $500, I hit it dead on.
Now that number does not include all the spare parts I had in my garage
like fenders, bonnet, boot lid, doors, engine, trans, wire wheels, rear
axle, A arms and everything else that is missing on just a shell.
But those parts have long been acquired or paid for so those were not
"in this budget"
But I did by all new brake pipes and hydraulics, new battery, bushings,
etc. Anything that really matters is new.
So IF you have a COMPLETE running car, you can restore it for $500.
I just did.
BTW, that front nerf bar was a result of my electrician screwing up on a
conduit bend, when I saw what he made, I told him to mirror image those
bends and now I have a nerf bar made out of 3/4 conduit and a little
powder coat.
