I had the same problem with my yoke, I found that over the years the
tunnel had been smashed down a bit. What I did was slide a scissor jack
in the tunnel after taking the drive shaft out and with the long jack
handle I was able to jack the tunnel back up again enough for good
clearance.
Try a BFH on frame rail box to get clearance for the slave. (G)
