My wife learned to drive a stick shift on my original Sprite when we were
both 16. When we bought a Dodge Caravan and had the transmission go out, she
was trying to get me to find a 5 speed from a delivery van to put back in
it. She does not want to drive a car with an automatic.
Actually, the rest of the story is that we both have the same year Saab 9-5
Aeros with 5-speeds. We have both drivers programmed into each car's memory
seats. Start rolling, put on the seat belt, push the memory seat button, and
by the time you are at the end of the driveway, everything is adjusted. I
finally had to put a Valentine One in her car so I could drive it. :-)

OK, that's problem number one. My wife is scared to death of all of my cars.
She won't even ride on them.
