My Comanche gets 20+ in town, and about 25 on the highway. The Cherokee does
better, with slightly over 30 on the highway. The LeBaron will average over 40
on a long trip, with the advantage of being extremely comfortable to drive. He
does lack for cargo space, since the top takes up most of the trunk. I can
actually squeeze more into the Midget.
I just take my garbage to work with me and toss it in a dumpster.

Many of you have heavy requirements! I've compromised with a
03 Tacoma at 26 mpg and 6 ft bed to haul garbage to the dump
and the occasional board or 4x8 for furniture building and
other home maintenance.
