My previous Father in Law was a B29 bombardier in WWII, in the Pacific.
He did not talk to his family about the war until about 40 years after
the war. He started attending some reunions of fliers and met Chester
Marshall, who wrote several books. I ended up buying a couple of the
books, although I don't remember which book had this particular incident
in it. Some of his books are still in print, others are available used
through amazon.com. IIRC the 2 books I have are _Sky Giants Over Japan_
and _The Global Twentieth_.
