My wife said the same thing. And since this car is not a keeper, I
seriously thought about resale red since it will be for sale.
But the goal was to see just inexpensively I can do a total restoration
using what I already have.
I had a gallon of paint thanks to Gilroy when he moved from NJ to WA.
And it's tough to get rid of paint so the new owner of this car gets a
1/2 gallon of touch up paint with it ;)
I also used up 3 different primers, my paint cabinet now has room in it.
My parts closet has some space in it now too since I have been digging
out front ends, a tranny, rear springs, seats, interior panels, pedal
box, etc.
Wire wheels because I have a stack and will not use them on any of my
personal cars.
I am going all new on the brake hydraulics, I do not cheap out on brakes
so that's where most of the money is going.
The interior is from a parts car that was perfect, not new but still
fine. and I already cobbled up a dash that looks new.
Now that it's painted, I have some assembly work and a lot of parts bin
searching. I am not sure if I have all that I need, I will find out soon
enough.
I think I will keep the rockers yellow as most of you agreed with me.
I can always paint them black later.
