Phil, the ribcase will fit fine, but you will need a later engine backing
plate off a 1098 or to grind the top of the lip on the 948 backing plate
off. You will also need to use the clutch fork for a ribcase, a smoothcase
fork will not fit the ribcase. Some of the later ribcases have an input
shaft that that is longer and require the thicker 1098 backing plate. I
might be able to come up with one if you need it.
Crash
Is the ribcase trans a direct bolt on to the 948 engine?
Thanks.
