I'm rebuilding the master cylinder from our 1970 Midget. I've removed
the return spring with no problem, and removed the snap ring that's
supposed to retain the internal component. My problem is that I cannot
get the nylon retainer, or its associated seal to move. Even pulling
doesn't help.
I suspect the nylon has cold-flowed and locked itself into the cylinder.
Does anyone have any tricks for removing these things? Are they included
in the rebuild kit? If they are, I can just drill the existing one out.
