I'm no expert on Astons, but I
believe Mr. Bond's car from the early movies was a DB5. The DB4 is a bit more
upright-looking than the swoopier (that's a technical term) DB5. The DB4 is
maybe a little closer in looks to the earlier DB2-4, which in Drophead Coupe
form is the car from "The Birds"...
BTW - I always get a kick out of
watching the love birds leaning back and forth in their cage as they drive
along that curvy (California coast?) road in "The Birds". I knew the guy who
owned that very car before it was used in the movie. He told me it was a cool
car, but that even when new, it constantly overheated in the hot California
summers unless it was being driven at speed.
