A larger inlet valve will most certainly make it's presence known, state of tune
notwithstanding. You'll see a definite improvement in the torque portion of 
whatever cam profile you are using.
"Reversion" in airflow using the stock cam profile is minimal so Rimflow valves 
designed specifically to combat same would be a waste of money despite their 
excellent
quality.
However, as cam timing approaches durations of 270 degrees or so, they become a 
definite asset in helping to maintain smooth airflow to aid low rpm torque, 
normally lost to one extent or another with more "hairy" cam profiles as you 
get into the Kent 276, APT SPVP3 range
