That is the current fix. I am not so sure that will fix the problem. That
recall applies to many cars and trucks that do not share a common floor pan
or common mats. My feeling is that it could be some type of problem with
the cars software, maybe at a system or hardware interface. Time will tell;
if the floor mat/pedal change stops the acceleration problems then I may be
wrong.
