It did on mine. :)
One thing with GR starters. Make sure your battery is up to snuff "dynamically" 
(test it under load every now and then) or, you can burn the contacts out in 
the GR starter's solenoid in no time at all. 
Ask me how I know??! :)

I'm installing a gear reduction starter on my bugeye.  The seller says  
it's OK to bypass the starter internal solenoid with a jumper wire to  
the other battery wire.  Will it work on spridget with the stock  
starter switch with the bypass?  What are you guys doing with the
