Hydraulics.
1275 in a Bugeye.
Later 2 master pedal box, .70 clutch master, 1" new slave cyl, new hose
to slave, used pipe from master to slave.
4 bottles of silicone juice later and I still have 1/2 a clutch pedal.
I have manually bled it, power bled it with pressure from the master
cap, and used the suck it out of the slave method.
And a combination of all of the above. Nada!
I can pump it up put it in gear but the master looses pressure and the
car creeps.
So I replaced the master with a different rebuilt .70 unit.
This one holds pressure but only at 1/2 way down, it does not loose
pressure, there are no leaks in the system.
I did drive the car around the 'hood tonight banging my way thru the gears.
Charlie Braum stopped by tonight and showed me the clear tube above the
master trick, we did that and had a clutch.
It worked perfect. That was at 9:00 pm, I was taking out the trash and
checked the pedal on the Ladybug at 9:45 and I have 1/2 a clutch again.
I can not get it in gear.
Where did my pressure go? No fluid lose.
This has been giving me a headache for 2 days. The brakes bled out in 5
minutes and are still perfect tonight but I gave up on the clutch yesterday
I spent hours messing with it today and Charlie got it working in 5
minutes. But it died again.
How can it hold pressure for a few minutes but loose it after 1/2 an hour?
The master id fine, the push rod travels full and can not be forced back
as if it had bleed by.
The slave does not leak under the dust seal and is brand new NOT from Mo$$.
Or can there be one tiny bubble still in the system?
