Doesn't that cause the barrel to burst in some cases ??
Up here, the training course that you have to go on to be able to get a
hunting permit is extremely anal about checking for blocked barrels. As one
example, the tester hands you a shotgun and says show me how you would shoot
at those immaginary ducks flying by over there. If you don't check the
firearm for a blocked barrel before you show him, you can book your next
test, because you didn't pass that one.

Actually, this is not necessarily a bad thing. Guns are one of the few
things that China makes well. Since most of the military consists of
uneducated conscripts, the tolerances of weapons are so loose that they will
fire with the barrel full of mud.
