Are bought interior patches like the spring hanger patch and associated rear
panel patch normally butted in or lapped?
I am wondering about the effect on the allignment of the spring bracket, if any
as my rear floor has already been doubled with some fairly heavy sheet on the
inside, so an interior lap there could be as much as 1/4" high. An exterior
lap would not be so much off.
