Likewise. My cell is tied to my work voicemail. It sounds like a ball and
chain, but in reality it means that I do not need to give anyone my cell
number (I have come to regret most of the exceptions), I just give them my
work phone and have them leave a message. My normal number only calls me
from 7am to 7pm, but I have another number which will notify me 24/7. I get
very few non-voice-mail calls on my cell. I personally do not see a
justification for differentiating between handheld and speaker calls. I
thinkthe only differentiation is funded by services like On-Star whose sales
could be hurt otherwise.
