If he goes North or South at Paris he would, after a few long cold swimming
sessions and a
long walk, end up in Algiers. From there he could hire a camel to Dakar, then
overland in a
SUV to Jo'burg.
On the other hand, his chances of surviving the hostiles on the way are very
small.
So going by Air might be better - except perhaps (from personal experience) on
TAP or
such...
