well, it WAS the conservative's hero, Ronald Reagan who had the
idea to let companies defund their pension programs----not have
enough assets to cover their liabilities---- spend the money
they HAD to pay of debts incurred in the future-----rather than
proper fiscal management....... now when companies go out of
business, the pension monies that people thought we put aside
for THEIR future, CONTRACTED to them as a term of their
employment... the creditors get what little IS set aside...
employees and former employees... OOPS... too bad.
