I installed a Pioneer 4800 (IIRC) in Trish's Miata (mandatory Miata
content).
It came stock with an input designed for connecting to the headphone
output of any of those devices, plus I bought their proprietary iPod
adapter.
With this device, you connect the iPod, stash it away, and control it from
the
front of the radio. It works great now that I learned that it wants to hear
from
the remote before it works right ?!?!?
