[Spridgets] Stains on the Plastic

Does anyone know how to get shoe polish stains off of the plastic
bumpers and mouldings on a 2001 Escape? It seems that someone got a
bit excited with the shoe polish after the wedding last weekend, and
this stuff won't come off.
Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.
