I need to come up with a good engine (1275) for my midget but money is
really tight right now. I'm trying to decide what is going to be the
best and hopefully least expensive way to go.

I've got three engines to work with:

Engine #1 is currently in the car. It has low oil pressure and
overheats. It does not smoke, doesn't leak much and appears to be stock.
Right now with the low oil pressure and overheating it is not usable

Engine #2 runs pretty well. It was rebuilt a number of years ago and has
decent oil pressure, a hot street cam, hardened valve inserts, ARP
fasteners and a few other goodies. Unfortunately this engine smokes
(white smoke) and leaks a lot.

Engine #3 is a spare that hasn't been run in years but it had new
crankshaft bearings and a new head before it was retired.

If you wanted to come up with one good engine out of these three and
keep the cost *way* down (we really are broke after buying the second
midget and having two kids in daycare, taxes just paid, etc.) and do it
quickly what would you do?

;-)

Thanks!

Robert Weeks
