Many, many moons ago, I got a ride in a '57 chev. It started to rain. He
stopped the car, took a piece of string out of the glove box and tied one end
to the windshield wiper arm, passed the string in the window, through the cab,
out the other window, and tied the other end to the other wiper arm. The he
got back in, and when the window needed a wipe he would pull the sting to and
fro. Maybe you want to try that? :)
