Here is where I'm at. Several of you graciously and promptly sent me
measurements for the frame. Mine is indeed 21" at the rear and 19" at the
front when measured perpendicular to the floor. So that isn't the problem.
The top of my mounts are 1" below the lower edge of the aluminum cockpit
trim. And I can only insert the frame 2" into the mounts before hitting the
rubber stop. Would someone place confirm these measurements for me? That
only leaves the top. It is a new top by Robbins purchased from Victoria
British, part number 9-317-BB for a '58-'61 Sprite. There is no way what I
have is going to fit together. The top is just too small for this frame and
mounting location. Can anybody spot the problem here? Thanks.
BTW, I have all the photos of water bottle locations I need. You guy have
got some great looking bug-eyes out there!
