They were thinking "Woo-hooooo!".  The ones that rolled were thinking "D'oh,
der mama-n-papa erst gonna kill mine."

Nowadays they'd be driving rice rockets and thinking "I'm cool" until they
rolled.  After they rolled, they'd be thinking "Who can I sue to get rich
off of this unfortunate accident that I brought upon myself?" and the track
would be closed due to lack of funding after paying legal fees.
