Maybe somebody should come up with a deeply cupped ramp -- like the wheel 
dollies, but standing higher and no casters.  That would be about as safe as 
you could reasonably ask for.

I would buy a set even without the ramp portion just to use in place of jack 
stands.  Just jack the car up and lower it onto the stands.

Jack stands always make me just a bit nervous.

I noticed that with the AL low jacks that the single roller doesn't
roll as nicely as the older style casters did. The floor has to be very 
clean.
