Hi List,
Just got back on the list as it's nearly Christmas and it's likely to be too
cold in the garage to work on my Sprite and I'll need to periodically escape
from the family under the pretence of 'I need to send some e-mails'.
Whats new?
I'm a year into saving up for a new engine for my Sprite and I should soon be
ready to deliver a pile of metal to an engine builder. I want a really good
job doing which is why I'm not doing it myself besides the block will need
boring etc.
Last time I was on the list it was to drum up some interest in crossflow rad
silicone hose and some of you know have the water pump hose and a few may even
have the top hose as well. I've both on my car and they look very nice.
Quick PC question for all your hardware experts. My wife has been given an
ancient PC that's not worth spending money on but doesn't have a working floppy
or CD-drive (can you believe floppy drives are now expensive and the past
month I threw at least one in the dustbin). The floppy it has may work but the
BIOS (which itself dates back to 1995) auto detects it as a 5.25 and forcing it
to 3.5 simply generates a boot failure and the re-appearance of the set up
screen. There is no jumper setting on the board and only only 1 floppy
connection - any ideas.
