Charlie, I used "UCoat It" with good results.  Their adds are in most  car

One thing I would do different is not add the non-slip aluminum oxide to  it. 
 It helps keeping you from slipping with wet feet, but makes  it harder to 
clean and is rough on the knees when kneeling.  Just put  a runner or mat near 
your entrance door.
