I flew down to Monterey last Thursday for the Historic Races and spent a long
weekend having fun in the sun with some friends. Some of the highlights
included stumbling into a former student (as in 20+ years ago) in a coffee
shop in Pacific Grove first thing (as in too damn early) Friday morning whilst
still blurry-eyed (me, not the former student), running into a license plate I
recognized from the 'net (BUGIII) and having a nice conversation with Larry
Miller (again on the main drag in Pacific Grove, and having another nice
conversation with a gentleman by the name of Phil Binks while in the paddock
at Laguna Seca on Saturday. It was a fun weekend. I just got home to
approximately 435 mostly Spridget-related e-mails that I'll peruse later.
As a side note, BUGIII's exhaust note is ... how to phrase this ... quite
"distinctive".
